I have a background in Psychology, Health Psychology & Clinical Research and have been studying brains and behaviour for over 20 years (my passion!). Following my first degree in Psychology, I was awarded a post-
My research explored the crucial relationships between negative emotional states and their effects on physical health, as well as the influence of our behaviours on changes in our moods. Clinical Hypnotherapy is an effective way to restore a healthy balance between these relationships for therapeutic benefit.
Following my degrees, I wanted to explore the further practical applications of neuroscience in a therapeutic context.
This led me to the inspiring world of Clinical Hypnotherapy!
After my extensive training in Psychology, I also trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy at the renowned Clifton Practice – one of the leading training schools in the country. As well as the standard qualification in hypnotherapy (DHP), I also graduated with the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD), which is the gold standard for practising Clinical Hypnotherapists.
I am also qualified to supervise, mentor and train other therapists and counsellors as a Solution Focused Supervisor (Level 5 qualified), and as a very experienced therapist, hold Accredited membership status with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (MNCH Acc.).
